Cramesines Beach is located on the coastal area of the municipality of Sesimbra, integrated into the Cramesines area, which is part of the locality of Serra da Azóia. It is situated within the Arrábida Natural Park, benefiting from its protected natural environment.
Access to the beach is via a pedestrian path that descends towards the base of the cliff, starting from the village area of Serra da Azóia. This location, nestled between prominent rock formations, gives it a somewhat secluded character.
This beach features a small sandy area, which stretches along the foot of a steep cliff face. The composition of the coastal space also includes the presence of rocky blocks and pebbles in the area closest to the water, resulting from natural rockfalls from the slope over time.
The configuration of Cramesines Beach is particularly influenced by the tide. During high tide periods, the sand strip can become entirely covered by seawater, significantly altering the available space on the beach.
Situated in a small coastal indentation, the beach is flanked by high cliffs that shape the surrounding landscape. The natural scenery is dominated by the presence of these rock formations and the view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Being at Cramesines Beach provides a sense of proximity to the coastal geology, allowing one to feel the scale imposed by the escarpments rising behind the sandy area.
