Adiça Beach is located in the Lagoa de Albufeira area, in the municipality of Sesimbra. It is characterized by being an extensive coastal strip, slightly set apart from more urbanized areas, which contributes to its tranquil atmosphere. It is nestled within a protected natural landscape, marked by cliffs and dunes.
This place offers a remarkable natural setting. The sandy beach, approximately one and a half kilometers long, is flanked by imposing golden-hued cliffs. Beyond the sandy beach, the landscape is enriched by the presence of a pine forest and well-preserved dune systems. On days of good visibility, it is possible to spot Cabo Espichel in the distance, contributing to the scenic beauty of the location.
Adiça Beach has been officially recognized as a naturist practice beach since 2015. Although nudity is a personal choice, the spirit of the place encourages respect for this practice. Being a naturally more secluded and extensive beach, it provides ample space and a sense of freedom, even during peak months.
Maintaining a wilder character, Adiça Beach stands out for not having direct support infrastructures on the sandy area. The absence of constructions or equipment contributes to the preservation of its natural environment and the tranquility many visitors seek. Those who visit this place should come prepared, as there are no facilities here such as restrooms or showers.
The waters at Adiça Beach, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, can be somewhat agitated. It's a good place to cool off, but it's important to be careful when swimming. As it is an unguarded beach, prudence is essential for the safety of those who venture into the sea.
