It is located in Ancede, in the parish of Ancede and Ribadouro, in the municipality of Baião.
It possesses the oldest coat of arms stone of the Kingdom of Portugal, an important symbol of our history.
There are reports that, due to the lack of water, the religious people moved to the convent of Ancede. The convent is still standing, but only the facade remains, as the building was consumed by fires.
A Gothic column stands out, which still presents one of the oldest coats of arms of the Portuguese Monarchy, the Quinas coat of arms, which is supported by angels.
The Ermelo Church is classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1955, which makes it a place worthy of visit and respect.
Currently, it is abandoned and in need of care and restoration, which draws attention to its preservation.
