This section of Praia da Oura is located on the eastern side of this well-known bay in Albufeira. It is sheltered beneath an imposing cliff that defines the local coastal landscape.
Integrated into the surroundings of Quinta da Pedra dos Bicos, this part of the beach forms a natural transition between the more central area of Praia da Oura and the neighboring Praia de Santa Eulália. The rock formation of Pedra dos Bicos defines one of its extremes.
Praia da Oura (East) is distinguished by its sandy area, which is quite extensive, offering ample space for visitors. The golden sand invites long walks along the seashore.
The waters of the Atlantic Ocean that bathe this beach are typically clear, characteristic of the Algarve coast, providing conditions to enjoy swimming in the sea.
The cliff that serves as the backdrop to this beach is one of its most striking features. Its presence creates a visually interesting setting and gives the beach a sense of welcoming.
At the top of the cliff, a building with notable architecture, which some describe as resembling a pyramidal structure, dominates the view to the west. This singular architectural feature, combined with the Pedra dos Bicos rock formation at the base of the cliff, adds visual points of interest to the landscape.
The main access to the sandy area of this section of the beach is typically via a staircase located at the western end, near the rocky demarcation.
This area of Praia da Oura tends to be perceived as a bit quieter compared to the more central area. It provides a relaxing environment for those looking to enjoy the sea and sand in a setting with natural characteristics and some distinct visual points of interest.
