The property housing the Vouzela Municipal Museum has its own significant past relevant to the locality. Originally, this building served as the town's former Judicial Court. During the 1980s, it underwent restoration and adaptation works to serve a new cultural function, coming to house not only the museum, but also the municipal library and the tourist office. Over time, with the library and tourist office moving to their own premises, the building dedicated itself exclusively to its museological mission.

Inside the museum, visitors can discover a variety of collections illustrating the identity and history of the municipality of Vouzela. The archaeology room offers a journey through time, revealing traces of human presence in the region from Prehistory to the Middle Ages, through valuable archaeological and architectural heritage.
