The Urban Park is located in the heart of Oliveira de Frades, seamlessly integrated into the town's urban landscape. Its central position makes it easily accessible, establishing it as a landmark and a gathering place for residents and visitors. It is situated next to Avenida Arménio Maia, naturally fitting into the town's fabric.

A Vision of Design and Nature

Spanning over 17,000 square meters, the Urban Park was designed to be a permeable and inviting space. Its design seeks a dialogue between the surrounding nature and man-made interventions, creating an evident yet harmonious contrast. Paths with geometric and rectilinear shapes adapt to the terrain's topography, resulting in a space that, despite its modern conception, integrates harmoniously into Oliveira de Frades' natural landscape.

Water Features and Green Spaces

One of the park's central elements is its extensive lake, approximately 85 meters long and 22 meters wide, over which a pedestrian bridge allows crossing and access to different levels of the space. The presence of a waterfall adds a scenic aspect and a tranquil soundscape. The vast green areas include dense tree cover, meadows, and various shrub and ornamental species, inviting strolls and contemplation of the landscape.

Leisure and Observation Points

The Urban Park offers multiple spaces dedicated to leisure and social interaction. There is a central square with a platform that serves as a stage for various outdoor activities, delimited by hedges that ensure some privacy and tranquility. For the more active, it features areas equipped for maintenance gymnastics, a zone for skateboarding, and a basketball court. A colorful and imaginative playground, with various equipment and traditional games marked on the pavement, is available for children of all ages and abilities. A wooden walkway leads to an elevated viewpoint, providing panoramic views over the entire park and its surroundings.
