Casa do São Cosmado is an example of a stone house, originally conceived with two floors: the upper one for habitation and the ground floor for sheltering animals. The main facade is distinguished by a porch supported by simple columns with capitals, flanked by granite pilastered quoins.
The solidity of the construction is visible in the stonework details, present in pilasters, lintels, and moldings. On the East elevation, a detail to observe is a five-pointed star with epigraphic elements, which adds a unique touch to its identity. The property includes a walled patio, with granite walls that evoke its ancient agricultural function, contributing to the farm atmosphere. It is important to note that, despite its exterior design, the interior of the building underwent several renovations throughout the 20th century, which resulted in its disfigurement.
