Built between the Romanesque and Gothic styles, it was the center of the development of the village of Barcos.
Classified as such, it has undergone several interventions over time, but retains original elements.
It has a rectangular plan, a single nave and a lower and narrower chancel. It retains Romanesque portals, ashlar stones with stonemason's marks, and sculpted corbels in the sacristy.
It is accessed by two semicircular steps. It has a cross in the frontispiece and a niche of the Stations of the Cross on the side.
Highlights include the painted coffers of the chancel, the decorated triumphal arch, the wooden pulpit, and the gilded wood altars.
Hidden behind the main altarpiece, it represents Our Lady with the Child, Saint John the Evangelist, and Saint Peter.
Gardened area and nearby historic buildings, such as the old Town Hall, Jail, Community Oven, Town Hall, and a cross.
