Origin and Devotional Character

Inaugurated at the end of the 19th century, more precisely in 1896, this grotto is a faithful replica of the famous Grotto of Massabielle, located in Lourdes, France. Its initial purpose was to serve as a place of meditation and pilgrimage. Inside, it houses an image of Our Lady of Lourdes, keeping alive its function as a space of faith and contemplation for visitors.
