It is a granite block 80 cm high and 44 cm wide, with the inscription "FEITORIA 1761" on its main face.
Port Wine began to gain prestige after the Methuen Treaty in 1703, leading to the need to regulate production.
In 1757, landmarks were installed to define the region's vineyards, ensuring the quality of the wine.
Classified as being of public interest in 1946, the Alto Douro Wine Region has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001.
Landmark No. 27 remains in the same location since its placement, near the Rossaio stream, representing the region's wine history.
