Location

- The Mão do Homem (Hand of Man) rock carvings are located on top of a small hill, near the Soutelo River, a tributary of the Corgo River, in the Corgo Valley region, between the Alvão and Padrela mountains.

Characteristics of the Engravings

- A single engraved rock, a granite block, stands out in the area.

- Several elements are engraved on the rock, including a cruciform, cupules, shields, and the famous representations of hands that give the site its name.

- A hand emerging from a shield, with "fingers" formed by cupules.
