The House of Miracles is integrated into the heart of the village, in an area that reflects the traditional way of life of the community and its deep connection to local religious practices.

A Living Testament of Devotion

This unique building, known as the House of Miracles, serves as a museum center dedicated to the expression of popular faith. The space underwent careful rehabilitation, which allowed for the enhancement of its purpose to preserve and present cultural heritage of great relevance. Its existence is linked to the Sanctuary of Senhor de Perafita, a complex of constructions with strong religious significance for the community, of which the House of Miracles is a central component.

The Unique Collection of Votive Tablets

Inside the House of Miracles is one of the largest national collections of ex-votos, or votive tablets. There are 94 pieces, mostly oil paintings on wood or metal, dating between 1758 and 1896. Each of these tablets constitutes a visual narrative, a public thanksgiving for graces received or interventions considered miraculous, offered as proof of devotion and gratitude.
