Boticas Parque is located in the town of Vilar e Viveiro, within the municipality of Boticas, in northern Portugal. This vast natural space encompasses the former areas of the Relva Forest Nurseries, marking the local landscape with its size and conservation purpose. The park is characterized by the prominent presence of the Beça River, which runs through it and enriches its natural surroundings.

Rehabilitated Nature

With approximately sixty hectares, Boticas Parque is a remarkable example of environmental rehabilitation. The human intervention at this site, which once hosted the Relva Forest Nurseries, aimed to restore and regenerate its native flora. Here, you can find a vast riparian forest along the Beça River, complemented by oak groves and shrub formations typical of the region.

The commitment to preservation is evident, protecting habitats of invaluable importance for wildlife, including diverse species of flora, fauna, and fungi. For the more adventurous, there is a treetop adventure circuit with twelve bridges and a small zipline next to the Beça River, and an adventure course designed for younger visitors. At the Fishing Park, integrated into the trout farms, it is possible to practice sport fishing for brown trout, a species native to the Beça River, in a facility that contributes to the annual production of hundreds of thousands of these specimens. The park also occasionally hosts thematic workshops and kayak tours on the Beça River, complementing the experience of discovering its rich biodiversity.
