Located in the parish of Vilar de Mouros, in the municipality of Caminha, district of Viana do Castelo.
Built between the 14th and 15th centuries, this medieval bridge follows the model of the Ponte de Lima bridge. Since 1910, it has been classified as a National Monument.
Made of granite, it has three ogival arches, with the central one being the largest. The deck has a slightly elevated shape, with lanes separated by paving stones.
It allows the passage of pedestrians and vehicles, but it is limited to vehicles up to 4 tons to preserve the structure.
Close to the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, it is located in a quiet area, ideal for walks and appreciation of the landscape over the Coura River.
