Carreço Beach is located in the town of Carreço, in the municipality of Viana do Castelo, on the northern coast of Portugal. This bathing area, named after the beach itself, is bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Carreço Beach is a place where nature also reveals itself in its fauna. It is possible to observe a population of European shags (Phalacrocorax aristotelis), as well as other species of seabirds that frequent the area.

At low tide, the exposed rocks invite the discovery of various forms of marine life. Among the nooks and pools that form, one can spot bivalves, octopuses, starfish, crabs, and small shrimps, which inhabit this coastal environment.
