Located in the parish of Giela, in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, district of Viana do Castelo.
National Monument since 1910.
- Before the 11th century, there was a refuge castle on the site, of which part of the wall still remains.
- In the 14th century, the manor tower was built, probably during the reign of King D. Dinis.
- In 1398, the property was given by D. João I to Fernão Anes de Lima.
- The Paço has influences from the Middle Ages and the beginning of the Modern Age.

- In 1999, it became the property of the Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez.
- In 2015, it was completely restored and transformed into a cultural and tourist space.
- It is part of the Paço de Giela Urban Park, with 22 hectares.
Recovered, it has three exhibition floors about the local history and the monument.
