Located in the town of Ponte da Barca, in the district of Viana do Castelo, it is currently in the "Garden of Poets".
National Monument since 1910.
- Linked to the "Foral Novo" (New Charter) of 1513, granted to the then Vila da Nóbrega.
- Originally erected in Largo da Misericórdia (Misericórdia Square), next to the old Town Hall.
- In the 20th century, it was transferred to its current location.
- Built entirely of granite.
- It rests on four steps and has a smooth, circular column.
- At the top, it features a sculpted sphere with historical symbols: the royal arms, the Cross of Christ, and the coat of arms of the Magalhães family.
- It is still possible to see vestiges of the old iron restraints.
