Ancient Settlement

Fortified settlement from the Iron Age, later occupied during Roman times.

Location

Situated on top of a hill, overlooking the Minho River valley, surrounded by natural landscape.

Defenses

It has an oval-shaped wall and a moat carved into the rock, reinforcing the protection of the site.

Archaeological Finds

Fragments of Iron Age and Roman pottery, as well as a piece of an anthropomorphic statue.

Access

Difficult path, but rewarding for those who enjoy adventure and history.

Classification

National Monument, representing an important testimony of human presence in the region.
