Paço Vedro de Magalhães, in the municipality of Ponte da Barca, next to the national road and the Vade river.
The first mention of a construction dates back to 1290, with references to D. Sanches Morais and D. Alonsa Martins Castelões. Over the centuries, it passed through several families, including the Abreu Lima family and nuns from Val de Pereiras.
Noble house in the Baroque style of the 18th century, with a U-shaped floor plan and simple decorative elements. Highlights include the pilasters, the windows with cornices, and the wooded courtyard.
Access to the house is via a forest, leading to an enclosed square surrounded by trees and gardens.
The space includes a formal boxwood garden, agricultural fields, and a large dovecote at the back of the property.
Paço Vedro is now a tourist house, offering visitors a unique experience in a historic environment.
Classified as a Property of Public Interest, preserving its historical and cultural importance.
