Located in Giela, Arcos de Valdevez, on the left bank of the Vez River, near a river beach.
18th-century Baroque manor house, of great size and elegance. It has two towers at the ends and a rear facade open to nature with an arcade and colonnade.
Small attached chapel, with decorative elements typical of the Rocaille style.
It was the residence of noble families, belonging to the Sousa Castro e Brito family. Later it passed through several hands, including the City Council and the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE).
The building is currently vacant.
It is located on a former agricultural property, Quinta do Requeijo, where there is also another house used for Rural Tourism.
