The Vale do Lima Equestrian Center is located in the village of Feitosa, in the municipality of Ponte de Lima. It is just a few minutes from the historic area of the town of Ponte de Lima, recognized as the oldest in Portugal. Set in a distinctly rural environment, this space offers a landscape dominated by the greenery and tranquility of the Lima Valley. Founded in 2001, the Vale do Lima Equestrian Center was established with the purpose of valuing and promoting equestrian culture. Covering a considerable area of ten hectares, this complex was designed to host various horse-related activities. It has infrastructures designed for animal welfare and the practice of various disciplines, including a covered riding arena, which allows activity in any weather condition, an outdoor riding arena for outdoor training, and a schooling arena. These areas are complemented by forty-five horse stalls, demonstrating its capacity and dedication to this world.
The Vale do Lima Equestrian Center is a place of remarkable vitality and activity. It serves as a central point for learning and perfecting the art of riding, through its riding school. Furthermore, it plays an important role in the development and training of horses, from the initial stages of their training to preparation for various equestrian disciplines. The center also facilitates hippotherapy sessions, exploring the therapeutic potential of interaction with horses.
