The North Coast Walkway is located in the city of Sines, specifically in the Bairro Amilcar Cabral area. A Sustainable Path

Opened on July 12, 2021, the North Coast Walkway was conceived with a clear objective of environmental protection. Its construction aims to discourage direct trampling of dunes and cliffs, thus allowing for better recovery and protection of these fragile coastal ecosystems. The walkway offers a defined path that enables conscious and environmentally respectful exploration of the natural landscape.

The Recovery of Biodiversity

Approximately 1.5 kilometers long, this wooden walkway represents a valuable instrument in the ecological enhancement of the North Coast. Its presence has spurred the eradication of invasive vegetation, such as Hottentot-fig, facilitating the flourishing and recovery of native and indigenous flora species. Walking along the walkway offers a close-up view of an example of revitalization and balance within the coastal ecosystem.

Views of the Alentejo Coast

Along the North Coast Walkway, visitors can appreciate a coastal landscape of singular beauty. The path offers stunning views of the jagged cliffs and the vastness of the Atlantic. The walkway culminates at Praia do Canto Mosqueiro, an extensive sandy beach that maintains a "virgin coast" characteristic, where direct human intervention is minimal, offering an experience of serenity in contact with the sea.
