The Municipal Swimming Pool is located in the Vista Alegre urbanization, an area of the town of Santiago do Cacém, in the municipality of the same name. Integrated into the urban fabric, it is a reference point for practicing aquatic and wellness activities in the city.

Equipment and Structure

This sports complex was inaugurated in September 2005. The building, spread over three floors, houses facilities designed for various audiences. Inside, there are two heated swimming pools: a 25-meter by 17-meter competition pool, with depths ranging from 1.10 to 1.80 meters; and a 17-meter by 10-meter learning pool, with a depth ranging from 0.60 to 1 meter. With spectators in mind, the upper floor offers stands with a capacity for approximately 377 seats, providing a panoramic view of the pools. The complex also has a gymnasium and all the necessary support areas.

Since its opening, the Municipal Swimming Pool has established itself as a dynamic center, attracting a wide range of visitors, from children to the elderly.
