The Rio da Figueira Urban Park is located in the Vista Alegre area, in the town of Santiago do Cacém. This green space is nestled at the foot of the hill where Santiago do Cacém Castle stands, offering a harmonious integration between urbanization and the surrounding natural landscape.

Heritage and Natural Environment

This park has its roots in an old estate, which once belonged to the Counts of Avillez, and was acquired by the Municipality of Santiago do Cacém in 1982. Its transformation resulted in a valued public space, maintaining the character of a vast green lung that extends over a considerable area.

Inside the park, the pine groves stand out, providing shaded areas and a serene environment. It is a place where nature is invited to participate in the urban experience, offering pleasant settings for a leisurely stroll or a moment of quiet.
