Praia da Malha da Costa is located on the coast of the municipality of Grândola, in the district of Setúbal, in the town of Carvalhal. This Atlantic beach is part of a vast coastal strip that stretches for kilometres, known for its vastness and well-preserved natural environment. It offers visitors a unique perspective on the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean.
This extensive and wide stretch of sand extends for many kilometres, giving Malha da Costa an atmosphere of remarkable tranquillity and space. Its vastness invites long walks by the sea or the discovery of an isolated spot for relaxation, even during peak visitor periods. The environment found here reflects a genuine natural beauty, where human intervention is markedly reduced.
The natural surroundings of Malha da Costa are characterized by an impressive and extensive dune system, which remains in a wild state, giving the landscape an untouched character. Moving inland from the sea line, the native vegetation gradually becomes denser, with the presence of pine forests and other species adapted to the coastal ecosystem. On the horizon, it is possible to see the region's characteristic rice fields and, further in the distance, the Sado River, elements that blend harmoniously into the diverse natural scenery of the Alentejo.
The serenity and vastness of the space invite contemplation and rest, allowing for a deep immersion in nature. Here, observing the rich coastal and dune ecosystems in their most authentic form provides a direct and genuine contact with the Alentejo coastal landscape, offering a stark contrast to more densely populated areas.
