Praia da Boca Velha is located in the Casa do Infantado area, in the municipality of Sesimbra, next to the mouth of the Albufeira Lagoon. It is a place where fresh water and the Atlantic Ocean meet, creating an unusual and dynamic landscape. The area is set within an environment of natural dunes and pine forest, which enhances the sense of tranquility and isolation of the location.
Situated at the end of the lagoon, the beach is surrounded by sparse vegetation, with an open view of the sea. These conditions make Praia da Boca Velha a highly appreciated spot for families with children, water sports enthusiasts, and those who prefer quieter areas.
The scenery is marked by the interaction between dunes, low-lying vegetation, and a wide horizon over the sea. The coastline is long, allowing for serene walks along the seashore. The absence of immediate urbanization favors nature observation, with the possibility of spotting aquatic birds or, occasionally, dolphins offshore.
