Sines Recreational Port is located in the city of Sines, in an area known as Bairro 1º de Maio. Its position is next to Vasco da Gama Beach, benefiting from a central and easily accessible location within the town. Integrated into a wide and naturally sheltered cove, the port offers a tranquil and protected environment, characteristic of an urban coastal area.
This recreational port plays an important role in leisure navigation along the Portuguese coast. It is the only infrastructure of its kind along an extensive stretch of the coastline, from the Setúbal area to the Algarve. For this reason, it is a reference and stopover point for many recreational vessels, whether they are undertaking national routes or integrating international itineraries. Its relevance translates into constant and visible nautical activity throughout the year.
Sines Recreational Port is composed of various infrastructures designed for nautical activity. It includes a breakwater that provides shelter for vessels, as well as floating pontoons that allow for safe mooring. There are also land-based support areas, such as the hoisting dock and a slipway, essential for the maintenance and movement of boats. With a capacity for approximately 182 berths, the port accommodates a diverse nautical community, contributing to the local landscape and maritime environment.
