Located in the Quinta da Amizade area, in Setúbal, the Quinta da Amizade Urban Park covers an area of approximately 4 hectares. This green space was planned to establish a fluid transition between the urban environment and a more natural surroundings, offering easy access and a meeting point for those visiting the locality.

Water as a Central Element

One of the park's distinctive features is the presence of a watercourse that runs through it, serving as a unifying element of the space. This stream, with its careful intervention, not only enriches the scenic environment of the park but also offers areas for enjoyment. Along its course, it is possible to find platforms designed for recreation and moments of rest, ingeniously integrated into the water flow control.

Paths and Leisure Areas

The park invites exploration through a network of paths that run through it, some of them alongside the watercourse and others that rise, like boardwalks, providing different perspectives of the space. These circulation routes connect various functional areas of the park, which include areas designed for quieter moments, spaces for physical exercise with fitness equipment, and areas dedicated to the younger ones and pets. There is also a sports area equipped with fields for various sports.

Richness of Vegetation

The green structure of the Quinta da Amizade Urban Park stands out for the diversity of planted species and the preservation of existing ones. It is possible to observe cork oaks and poplars, which, along with a vast layer of shrubs, create a scenic setting and inviting shaded areas. Near the watercourse, there are trees and shrubs typical of riparian galleries, forming densely shaded corridors. Vegetation management also focuses on rainfed meadows in some areas, valuing local flora and promoting a more sustainable environment.
