The Porto Covo Public Park is strategically located at the entrance to the picturesque village, along municipal road 1109. Its proximity to Praia Grande is one of its strong points, offering a wide view of the Atlantic Ocean that marks the coastal landscape.
This green space is situated in a position that allows appreciation of the vast maritime expanse, making it a place to pass through or stay for those arriving in the village or exploring its surroundings.
With an area of one and a half hectares, the park was designed to provide various options for outdoor leisure and socialising. It includes a large lawn, ideal for relaxed activities or moments of rest. It features a viewpoint, inviting contemplation of the coastal landscape, and a promenade suitable for walking, rollerblading, or cycling.
Inside the park, there is also a small square that serves as a meeting point. For families with children, the playground is an attractive element, providing a safe space for play.
The Porto Covo Public Park was inaugurated at the end of summer 2003, adding a valuable resource to the village. In 2012, the space was complemented by the creation of the Arnaldo Vilhena Picnic Park, which enriched its offerings. These interventions were designed to enhance the location, making it more complete and welcoming for visitors.
