The Parque dos Franceses is located in Arrentela, within the Quinta do Outeiro urbanization, in the municipality of Seixal. This green space is distinguished by its hillside setting, establishing a natural connection between a consolidated urban area, where buildings such as the Courthouse are situated, and the dynamic riverside front of Seixal.

Its strategic position allows for easy integration into the daily life of the locality, while also offering a smooth transition to the estuarine area, marking a confluence point between the built environment and the natural landscape of the Tagus estuary.

A Connective Green Space

Inaugurated in 2001, the Parque dos Franceses was conceived as a vast green area, with the purpose of creating continuity and fluidity between different zones of Arrentela. Its generous size, characterized by extensive lawns, offers an open and inviting environment, conducive to contemplation and the enjoyment of nature within the urban context.

This large green expanse constitutes a lung in the area, designed to provide a refuge and a meeting point, where visitors can find tranquility and a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a break from the daily routine.

Water Features and Soundscape

One of the park's distinctive features is the water system that organically traverses it along the hillside. A water channel meanders through the space, enriched by successive cascades, small ponds, and fountains that punctuate the route.
