The park is located in the center of the village of Palmela, next to Palmela Castle, on a hill that offers a panoramic view of the region.
Created in the early 20th century, the park was designed to improve the quality of life of the population and attract tourists. It was named after Venâncio Ribeiro da Costa, a pharmacist and benefactor of the city.
Approximately 37,000 square meters, occupying the north slope of the Castle.
The park has several leisure areas, such as an amphitheater, fitness trail, games and recreation area, and a picnic area.
Regularly, the park hosts shows and cultural events, becoming a place for entertainment and socializing.
The park is ideal for peaceful walks, outdoor exercise, and relaxing in the shade of trees. The best time to park is near the castle walls.
The park is open every day, 24 hours a day.
