In the centre of the space, a pond stands out as an important visual element. The vegetation comprises extensive lawn areas, complemented by patches of shrubs and herbaceous plants, which contribute to the landscape diversity and a sense of well-being.

A Revitalised Space

Jardim 1º Maio underwent an intervention aimed at its revitalisation, with a clear focus on improving the visitor experience. The works included not only the renovation of the garden itself but also its surroundings, such as adjacent streets and pavements.

These improvements aimed to emphasise safety and pedestrian mobility. The redesign of the surrounding roads, for example, adapted them to a one-way circulation system, optimising the space for pedestrians and encouraging a calmer and safer enjoyment of the garden and its immediate surroundings.
