In Caparica, Almada, near the old Fontes Santas (Holy Fountains) and Quinta da Torre, with access via Rua 5 de Outubro (October 5th Street).
Built in the 16th century by the Noronha family, it is one of the few examples of Manueline architecture in Almada. It was the stage for important events of the nobility and suffered damage in the 1755 earthquake, remaining in ruins for centuries.
- Simple structure with nave and chancel covered by elaborate vaults.
- Manueline portal decorated with sculpted columns and an oculus on the main facade.
- Interior altar with decorative tiles typical of the time.
The monument is in ruins and at risk of degradation, but retains architectural details of great interest.
Linked to the Portuguese nobility, it was the setting for weddings and remarkable ceremonies, and is today a silent testimony to the historical past of the region.
