Built between 1904 and 1909, with the inauguration of the Noble Hall on December 8, 1909.
Two-story façade, symmetrical and with emphasis on the central body, which includes a balcony and an arch. Traditional roof and functional design typical of municipal buildings of the time.
The ground floor housed administrative services and prisons; the upper floor was intended for the internal functions of the City Council, including the meeting room and library.
In the historical center of Barreiro, close to other landmarks such as the Main Church and the Chapel of Mercy.
Improvement works included renovation of the atrium and corridors, with new paint and lighting.
It is part of the city's civic heritage and reflects urban development from the sixteenth century to the present day.
