It is located in São Vicente, municipality of Abrantes, district of Santarém, Portugal.
Since 1977, it has been classified as a Property of Municipal Interest.
The convent was probably founded in 1526. Its current location dates from the late 16th or early 17th century, when Philip I ordered the transfer of the original convent to this area, with the support of the Count of Abrantes, D. Lopo de Almeida.
Currently, only ruins of the convent and an aqueduct with 17 perfect arches remain.
In the 17th century, the friars abandoned the site, moving to the center of Abrantes, and the property was sold to private individuals. In the second half of the 19th century, the area became part of Quinta da Arca.
