Located in the historic center of Abrantes, on Rua D. João IV, easily accessible for those exploring the area.
This palace was a temporary residence for members of royalty and important figures, including General Junot and the Duke of Wellington during the French invasions. The building was also prepared to receive Queen D. Maria II, at the request of the then owner.
The structure stands out for its long and elegant façade, with aligned windows and wrought iron balconies, typical of the 18th century. The decorations reflect the classical style, and the building adapts to the street's unevenness with different floors.
Inside, there are traditional 18th-century tiles, with a characteristic pattern of the time, which add historical value to the space.
This palace is protected as a Property of Municipal Interest, being considered one of the buildings of greatest cultural value in Abrantes.
