The garden is, therefore, a visible reflection of this cultural bond, serving as a link between the two communities.

Renewed Urban Space

In 2022, the Le Plessis, Trévise Garden underwent a profound intervention that significantly transformed its image. The project, authored by Ourém architect Filipe Saraiva, gave it a new identity, making it a more contemporary and functional space. With this revitalization, the garden gained greater breadth and was equipped with new areas dedicated to leisure and socializing, including a play area designed for the youngest, inviting moments of relaxation for people of all ages.

Art and Local Memory

At the heart of the garden stands the monument "To the People of Ourém", a sculptural piece that was preserved and restored during the recent intervention. This work, by sculptor Fernando Marques, maintains its relevance as a tribute to the inhabitants of Ourém, integrating harmoniously into the garden's renewed environment and inviting contemplation and memory.
