It is located on Calçada da Rainha D. Teresa, next to the Chapel of Our Lady of the Conception (Capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceição), in a traditional passage area between the castle and the old town center.
It is situated in a particularly picturesque spot, between old walls and the tile-covered chapel. This station stands out for its scenic and historical setting, offering views over the valley and access to the upper part of the town.
With a simple rectangular plan, it features a facade with a dark wooden door, topped by a curved pediment with a stone cross. The central sculpted medallion depicts symbols of the Passion of Christ.
Although unassuming, it maintains its original features. The presence of stone elements and the natural wear of the materials attest to its age and authenticity.
The Chapel of Our Lady of the Conception, adjacent to the station, is a 19th-century church with a facade covered in traditional azulejo tiles and a segmental arch. Inside, the straight-lined stone altarpiece is a notable feature.
This station symbolically marks the continuity of the Via Sacra (Way of the Cross) and offers a moment for contemplation between the sacred and the landscape. Its setting, alongside the chapel and the entrance arch, contributes to one of the most photogenic scenes in the town.
