It is located in the village of Ortiga, in the municipality of Mação, near the Tejo River.
The station is accessible via road 599, after the village of Ortiga, by following a path to the left towards Monte do Vale do Junco.
The site covers approximately 2 hectares and features the ruins of an ancient Roman villa, possibly linked to gold mining.
A thermal complex with several rooms stands out, such as the caldarium (hot room) and the frigidarium (cold room), with vestiges of the Roman heating system (hypocaustum).
Stone walls and brick and cement pavements, as well as fragments of Roman-era pottery and metals.
Classified as a Public Interest Property, the site is at risk of degradation due to neglect, but continues to be an important historical and cultural landmark.
