The Anta da Casa dos Mouros is situated on a hill, offering an impressive view of the Tagus River and the mouth of the Frio River. It is a calm place, ideal for those who want to appreciate nature and the tranquil environment of the region.
Although the road to the site is unpaved, access is quite easy. The area is well signposted, making it easy for visitors to arrive.
It is a megalithic tomb, dating back to ancient times. This monument is well preserved, especially its vertical stones and the corridor floor, although the covering slabs are no longer in place.
The Anta da Casa dos Mouros has been classified as a Property of Municipal Interest since 1977, which ensures its preservation for future generations.
The best time to visit is at sunrise or sunset, when the natural light creates a unique atmosphere to admire the site. It is also an excellent spot for photographs.
The path to the dolmen is more suitable for hiking, allowing for more direct contact with the surrounding nature.
