Classified as a Property of Public Interest, the church honors Our Lady of the Assumption and has a long history of remodeling, notably in 1648 and 1704.
It combines Mannerist and Baroque styles, visible on the main facade with its classic portal and the bell tower with a dome, creating an imposing presence.
Inside, there are gilded wood carvings and blue and white tile panels in the chancel, which depict biblical scenes such as the Nativity and the Adoration of the Magi.
The nave is simple, with a wooden ceiling and a high choir supported by columns. The chancel features decorative tiles and a central altarpiece that adds to the solemn atmosphere.
Located in a square overlooking the Serra de Aire mountains, the church has a paved courtyard and is surrounded by gardens and traditional houses, ideal for appreciating the architecture and the local landscape.
