It is located in Largo da Alcáçova, in the city of Santarém, in Marvila, next to the medieval wall.
Built in the 1st century BC, during the late Roman Republic, the temple is one of the oldest vestiges of Roman presence in Santarém.
, Only the podium (raised base of the temple) and part of one of the walls remain.
, The podium, based on limestone rock, is about 4.10 meters high on the south side.
, On the west side, some cladding stones are missing.
, In the center of the platform there is a cistern with a round opening, built later, between the 12th and 13th centuries.

It is located in a landscaped and paved area, close to the church of Santa Maria da Alcáçova and the Porta de Santiago. The auditorium built nearby allows a view of part of the temple structure.

In the 19th century, a riding arena was built over part of the temple, but the ruins are still preserved as a testimony to the past.
