Located in Marvila, Santarém, near the Bullring, in an area outside the historic center.
Built between 1886 and 1889, it was designed to be a modern slaughterhouse for the time, inspired by European and North American buildings. It operated until 1983.
Combines classical and medieval styles. The main facade, decorated and imposing, contrasts with the simple and functional interior, adapted to its use as a slaughterhouse.
Rooms with white tiles and iron columns that support the ceiling, designed for efficient ventilation.
Today it is used for cultural and storage activities, preserving its historical importance.
