The foundation is dedicated not only to promoting its own collection but also to hosting works by other artists, enriching the cultural landscape with an exhibition program that explores the intersections and social impact of Drawing. The Legacy of Júlio Resende

This cultural space originated from a vast collection of works by Júlio Resende (1917-2011), an internationally renowned Portuguese painter. The collection, which includes over 2500 works gathered by the artist throughout his career that began in the 1930s, offers an in-depth view of his oeuvre. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the influences that shaped his creation, from the reality of the city of Porto to the experiences gathered during his travels through Europe, Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique, and Goa, revealing the diversity of techniques and artistic expressions that characterize his journey.

The Master's Atelier

One of the distinctive features of this location is the Atelier of Master Júlio Resende, a space that served as a workshop for the execution of large ceramic panels. Currently, this atelier offers a glimpse into the artist's creative process and his relationship with tile art, a significant aspect of Portuguese art.
