Located in the parish of Sousa, in the municipality of Felgueiras, specifically in the place called Passal.
This church was classified as a National Monument in 1977, highlighting its historical and patrimonial importance.
The church is part of the Romanesque Route, being a representative example of this architectural style in the region.
On the exterior of the church, there are two inscriptions of great historical value:
, One, dated 1162, marks the construction of an embedded tomb (arcosolium).
, The other, from 1214, marks the consecration of the church for worship.
The church has a single nave and a rectangular chancel, enlarged between the 17th and 18th centuries.
, The Romanesque portal on the main facade is impressive, with a prominent structure that gives it prominence.
, The sides end in small arches on simple supports, a common feature in Romanesque churches in the region.
On the south facade, there is a dripstone (channels for draining water) supported by corbels, suggesting that there used to be a porch or even a cloister next to the church.
Inside, the carvings and paintings stand out, with religious themes such as the life of Saint Vincent, Saint Joseph and the Mysteries of the Rosary.
The ceiling of the chancel has paintings made in 1693 by Manuel Freitas Padrão, one of the founders of the Brotherhood of São Lucas de Guimarães, reinforcing the artistic value of the space.
