Located next to Porto Cathedral, in the heart of Porto, one of the oldest and most historic areas of the city.
Classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1926, due to its historical and architectural value.
The project is attributed to the architect Nicolau Nasoni, famous for his baroque works in Porto.
At the top of the fountain, stands a statue of Saint Michael the Archangel, from which comes the name "Fountain of Saint Michael the Archangel". It also includes a wrought iron frame and a marble bas-relief.
It is one of the symbols of the Sé area, reflecting the architecture and religious history of the city.
Easy to find while walking through the Sé area, ideal for those visiting the historic center of Porto.
