Located in São Nicolau, Marco de Canaveses, this small chapel was relocated near the church of São Nicolau in 1988 due to the construction of the Torrão dam.
Originating in the 18th century and first mentioned in 1724, the chapel was associated with a hospital for lepers and marginalized individuals, offering shelter and assistance.
The chapel has a rectangular granite plan, with a simple interior and a carved altar. The ceiling is made of wood, and there is a minimalist altarpiece dedicated to Saint Lazarus.
The main altarpiece, recently renovated, includes a painting of Jesus Christ and a wooden sculpture of Saint Lazarus.
It has been classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1971, recognized for its historical importance.
Located on the bank of the Tâmega River, the chapel is surrounded by a rural setting and close to other points of interest, such as the Cruzeiro do Senhor da Boa Passagem.
