Funtão Beach is located in the town of Agudela, in the municipality of Matosinhos. This coastal beach, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, is situated in an urbanization area of the same name, opposite the village of Lavra. Its position offers extensive sea views, characteristic of the Costa Verde (Green Coast).

Extent and Coastal Landscape

Characterized by a very extensive sandy area, Funtão Beach features a vast expanse of sand, with the presence of few rocks. Along the beach, it is possible to observe a well-preserved dune system, traversed by walkways that invite careful exploration of the coastal landscape. In the northern area, the Ribeira da Certagem, also known as Ribeira da Carreira, flows into the sea, contributing to the natural dynamics of the location.

The atmosphere of Funtão Beach is highly valued by the local community, who frequent it regularly. The extensive sandy area offers conditions for various recreational activities, including spaces designated for games such as beach volleyball and beach soccer.
