Praia do Atlântico is located in Francelos, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, and is named after the urbanization it is part of. It is situated on the Portuguese coast, bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Its setting is marked by the presence of a well-preserved dune system, which extends along the coastline, separating the sandy area from the urbanized zone. To facilitate circulation and protect this ecosystem, there is a boardwalk that allows for the observation of the coastal landscape.
