Angeiras Norte Beach is located in the coastal village of Angeiras, part of the municipality of Matosinhos. This beach marks the northernmost segment of the Angeiras bathing area, where the coastal landscape meets the Atlantic Ocean. At its northern end, the Onda River forms the natural boundary between Matosinhos and the neighbouring municipality of Vila do Conde.
Characterized by a very extensive sandy area, Angeiras Norte Beach stands out for the absence of rock formations, offering a continuous stretch of sand. The surroundings are marked by a significant dune cord that gives the beach a wilder and more natural appearance. To preserve this sensitive ecosystem, wooden fences and walkways have been implemented to guide visitors, protecting the dunes and facilitating access to the vast expanse of sand.
Despite its natural environment, Angeiras Norte Beach features a design that prioritizes enjoyment and accessibility. The wide sandy area offers space for various outdoor activities. Accesses to the beach are well-structured, ensuring that the place can be enjoyed by everyone. The support area includes large-capacity parking, facilitating the arrival of visitors who wish to enjoy the coastal landscape.
